Vision and Mission

Widespread use of electronic gadgeting such as hand phone and tablets, make a necessity to transform educational materials into an electronic format. The effort is important as more people has access to online web browsing. To make the hardcopy books available online, effort is needed to process each paperback book page by page to connect the past information available in Balinese literatures to the modern audiences.

At present time, younger generation of Bali do not have the opportunity to formally study the language as the current Indonesian educational curriculum, no longer list Balinese language as compulsory subject at schools. Many younger Balinese cannot speak or write proper Balinese literate, true to this, a well published statistics predict that Balinese language is going to be extinct in few decades if effort to preserve the language is not started.

Bhuvana Saraswati Foundation diverts its form of publishing from hard copy paper to electronic version of publishing. It is hoped that by bringing the literacy and culture of Bali references into electronic format, younger generation of Bali will have resources available in hand to study the culture and language of Bali. In long term, such an effort is believed would help giving hand in preserving and increase survival the culture and literature of Bali to the modern future.

In addition, Bhuvana Saraswati Foundation put in place, planning to give further positive contribution to wider Indonesian community by planning projects in health promotional, helping promoting healthy lifestyle and safe environment for the elderly, women, adults, young adults and children.

We invite every part of Balinese community and any party that are interested, in Bali or outside of Bali, to contribute in this positive effort and join us in this challenging yet exciting journey.
